What is the earliest lefty bass made?

I was thinkin', did Leo make any lefties in the early 50's? When did he start?

I want a '56 P cuz that's the year I was born....willing to sell my house. (:

For some reason I never understood basses don't sell for as much as guitars...
I'll bet it would fetch between 50 and 75K

Not a bass, but did anybody see the (I'm reciting this from memory so bear with me) 1962 Lefty Strat that someone had on Antiques Roadshow a couple of weeks ago?

I think they said it was worth around $48K. Dern.

The earliest lefty bass I've seen was a 1938 German upright (I forget what brand) that was supposedly not a righty conversion.

I shoulda said 'bass guitar'. Really interested in the earliest lefty Precision....not that the '38 upright isn't interesting though.

wow, the earliest lefty that i have seen is a 1964 Fender Precision which is on ebay right now... i would sell my soul for something like that :twisted: just kidding lol

Yep, I remember that one. Norm's Guitars was selling it and asking $6000 at the time. It was a sunburst with a slab board neck.
