I've got a P-Bass with a rosewood board. I'm very interested in having it refinished.

I also just heart P-bass porn and I love so many of the classic custom colors. I prefer the lighter colors with rosewood. My current faves are surf green, firemist gold and sonic blue. But this changes almost weekly. 8-)

+1 for first pic.

Who will you use for the refin? What color is this pickguard on #1? I can't tell if it is parchment, mint or cream. I found out that most after-market parchment pickguards look way too white. I ordered one from Terrapin and was disappointed then I got a mint one which was better then I found and aged mint which looked even better.

Someday I'll consider into getting clay dots for my PBass, it really makes a difference.

That worn gold looks bad ass.

While I appreciate a lot of cooler coloured basses, I'm real vanilla in my favourites (natural, sunburst, white, black).

While red isn't my favorite color there's something about a vintage Fiesta Red P bass w rosewood neck that induces musical porn for me. This isn't vintage but you get the idea:

My first P was a 1978 mocha. I've always liked that color.

I feel the same way about fiesta red, pjmuck. It's red but subtle, not so saturated.

How about Mary Kaye white?

Mocha/walnut is also a finish I dig.

Burgundy Mist has grown on me, too.

Yeah, my dream - a P or J in every 60's color:

While I generally don't like blue basses (with the exception of Daphne Blue), Ocean Torquoise Metallic would definitely be on my list :)

That's a nice finish Jeroen, and I'm not a blue bass fan generally either!

Anything except black (and not too crazy about sunburst either).

That P-Bass in Ocean Turquoise Metallic looks killer.

I have a MIM Tele in Ice Blue Metallic and I absolutely love that color on THAT guitar. There's something about the combination of a metallic finish and the firm lines of the Tele.

If I was refinishing a '51 style body I'd strongly consider Ice Blue Metallic.

^ The Tele used to belong to John McBain of Wellwater Conspiracy (one of Matt Cameron's projects).

It made an appearance on Letterman:

I'm a sucker for the metallics and the pastel 'surf' colors.
Favorites:
Burgundy Mist Metallic
Sherwood Green Metallic
Firemist Gold Metallic
Ocean Torquoise Metallic
Daphene Blue
Seafoam Green
Coral Pink (yes, I know the controversy)
Paisley
