Hello everyone!

I had the privilege of seeing Los Straitjackets over the weekend, and I was really impressed with the look and tone of Pete Curry's Galaxie model, so much so that I'm thinking about picking one up at the beginning of next year when they do their next manufacturing run. Before I do, though, I'd like some input from those of you who own one or who have played one. What's the quality like? How does it play? What does it weigh? Can you compare it to a P-bass or a Jazz so I know what to expect?

Thanks in advance! :)

Wil

Never got to play one, but almost bought one maybe 10 years ago (I guess the first and only lefty run?). It was around $500. It's definitely a P-Bass style bass, so it should sound pretty similar. And they were made in Korea, which has excellent quality for the most part. Don't know if Dipinto still manufactures in Korea or has gone to China. Dipinto has great reputation all around.

I didn't know they were doing a new run. That's great.
