Just so y'all know... I came across "this guy" comparing the Ibanez 1005, and a 1505 5-string... I don't know at the moment if Ibanez offers the1505 in a lefty, but, from his original comparison, the Bartolini's vs the Nordstrom pickups showed a marked difference... he eventually swaps out the Barts for Aguilar's, and the difference is night-and-day... great videos on the subject of comparisons btwn these two basses... he does get a bit wordy in the first minute or two, so fast forward to where he actually starts playing the bass.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L10C03cnCz8&t=0s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Be7piV1LdY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xiuoDoJvuI |

Personally, I'd prefer the Ibanez 1505... but, if it's not available as a lefty, then going with the 1005, and replacing the Bart's with the Aguilars would be my choice, to give more clarity to the bass... |
