Musicman Stingray 5 budget model
Musicman Stingray 5 budget model
I just came across this Stingray 5 lefty by Musicman's budget arm. I have a Musicman Bongo 5 with maple (that is my to the grave bass). Do you guys think this one will be different enough in tone to make the purchase worth it? I had been holding out for a budget jazz 5 string bass, but this might scratch that itch. Thoughts? Anyone interested in trying this out?

At that price, I'd try it out. Its finish reminds me of the finish on some Gibson specials and fadeds.

The S.U.B. line has a generally good reputation.
