I was in Victoria BC this past weekend and I met a local left handed bass builder named Adam Johnston. Adam is a nice guy and talented dude. I tried a 5 string neck through fretless singlecut bass he'd built and was selling for a very cheap $1200-ish dollars!!!
I'm not a 5 string player or a fretless guy, but the bass played and felt great. Really nice neck.

that looks really nice. I got scared and thought it looked like a wish bass for a minuite. whew!
