Right... I don't get it. Why a rout when none of the other 4 string Jazz basses do this in Japan. Maybe the saddles can't go low enough?

Dunno, but the rout is a good thing because I have the action floating just above the frets, and tons of room to adjust if I need it. It plays amazingly.
