On my 78, the finger rest is in the thumb position, and on this, it's in the finger position. Is this correct for that year? Which one is period correct, this bass, or mine? |

The stock Fender gold anodized pick guards come with the thumb rest holes drilled for that position which is the correct position for 57 thru 59 anodized pick guards. They didn't start moving them to the bass side until 73, I believe. |
