Post subject:  Leftover parts bass!

I had this body that came from a board member from a recent deal, this is thinner, lighter and slightly smaller than a Fender P-bass body. The body was black and I convinced my friend to refinish one last bass body for me since he found the leftover paint from a while ago. Lake placid blue.
Another board member who bought my Squier refinished neck gave me this Mexican JB neck, the frets where pulled of and the fretboard looked really rough.
I had the neck on the body and liked a lot, the tone, feel and the yellowed "vintage look" of this 2001 neck.
Yes call me crazy but I took the neck to my friend so he could do a new fret work. I like the neck a lot and also he helps me out a lot with my crazy ideas so we moved forward.
The badass bridge came with the body and I ordered new saddle height adjustment screws, much bigger then the original ones by mistake that it's all good!
I used the Fender pickup that came on the Ibanez Roadstar bass that I sold to Billw97.
Bought the neck plate, neck plate pad and knobs.
Bought the harness from a guy on Talk Bass.
Billw97 hooked me up with the tuners!
And that's it!
I had a white pickguard on it and aslo looks good, but for now I'll stick to the black one.
Notice on the back of the bass, I already put a ding on it!

Awesome! I need to get photos up of my project, though Paulo has already seen a couple sneak peeks.

Looks like a really cool bass, and I love the color!

As of today it has a different pickguard, a Hipshot Kickass bridge and a G&L SB-1 pickup that I've got from Tim.

Gorgeous! Nice to see the pickup in a home more worthy than my Squier (although that was a fun experiment). I bet she's a hoot to play and sounds mean as hell!
