No, I don't have an ego that can't fit through a doorway, but back then, it was most frustrating to work with manufacturers on a left-handed version of their basses. One manufacturer wanted to charge 3 times the right-handed price.

By chance, I came across luthier Peter Baranet before he gained prominence. We co-designed a bass, roughly designed after a BC Rich Eagle, with Seymour Duncan Vintage P-Bass & Hot J-Bass pickups, 2x2-band active electronics, Badass II bridge, Schaller tuners, and a body made of Hawaiian Koa with dark stained maple through-body neck with ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.

It will need to go to the doctor soon to work on the outdated and poorly shielded active eq, but playing it passive, I still get a steady stream of compliments...on the bass (more so than the playing, I'm sure).

Yes. Almost as heavy as my '77 P. Great solid feel, though. Even its ancient active eq board weighs a lot!
