Beautiful. I dig it, though his tone couldn't be any further from a traditional bass sound. Sounds like a jangly banjo at times. But proof positive that the infamous raking technique is far from wrong.  The combination of that and his reverse strung playing help give him that sound.

Here's another guy that happens to play reverse strings as a lefty - Keith Horne. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h5NcLtHkHg Keith is incredible! I emailed him a year ago to get his CD. Really nice guy. Their are other videos of him posted at youtube as well. |
