let me explain for those who never saw me play. I'm a invert, like quite a few of the others on here, but lately I've been playing on my E on top basses just for fun. I never realized how easy it would be to retrain my brain at my age to flip the patterns. I certainly can't shread yet, but my goal for 2011 is to be able to play just as easily both ways.

then I realized how many E on top videos I actually have on the youtube page in the past year

the links are in chronological order new to old.

Dude, you're really, really good man.

I especially love the range of stuff that you learn... you literally learn EVERYTHING!

I especially love your Scarified video... I've been meaning to sit down and try and learn that tune forever and ever, and frankly, I don't think I have the speed to play it properly.

The fact that Alderete is a two-finger player like me gives me hope, but damn... it's FAST.

Grazin' in the grass was one of the 1st songs i tried to learn how to play -way back in th early 70's. Nice to know someone else appreciates the groove.

is there some kind of chorus on the BOC tune, or is that just comb filtering from jamming with the PA?

BTW, good job!

thanks folks. playing everything is what makes us an all around "pick-up" musician ( sit-in/fill-in ) whatever you call it in your area.
and ya on the BOC vid, I finally realized that I had the channel in the mixingboard on chorus preset, and thought it was totally off ( it wasnt ) Forgive the blank staring into the camcorder monitor on some of the stuff, but sometimes it's easier to watch me in the TV screen than looking down on the fretboard.

the grazing in the grass vid was thru the PA monitors only, and is really bass-weak, but oh well, these vids are for fun, not for auditioning for the "best sounding/professionally mixed" videos on youtube :)
