Some of you may remember this being for sale on here just a month ago. It's a gorgeous bass. I love it but after 18 years of playing 4 string I just can't get into 5 string so I decided to sell it again. I would love a 4 string version of the same as it's a dream to play.

I think someone should buy both! 8-)

Is this yours? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 055wt_1110 Love that blue. I think primary colour basses look fantastic.

Yes little blue is mine and I must admit if it doesn't sell I'll be just as happy keeping it. I love 5 strings myself they have a completely different tone. But I just recently bought a 4 string matte fretless Spector with an Aguilar pre with mid control and this thing is a monster. I'm thinking I like basses better without a clear coat. They sound more organic and open to my ears and just feel better in my hands. The Spector black matte finish over the the quilted maple looks like a Darth Vader's cutom shop.

Mr. ritchie,
it took me almost a year to get comfortable using 5 strings. Now, I'll never go back to 4 unless the situation calls for it.

If I were you, I'd keep practicing with it and forget about selling it ;)

Thanks for the advice sir. You're probably right. I'm really trying to get work doing music. Doing this would be taking two steps back and then four forward but then I'll be for a good time two steps back. I put a lot of thought into it and I don't see the big need to have a five when I look so many greats that do so much with 4. I know I could always do a BEAD if need be.

ay consider trade for 4 string Warwick Streamer or 4 string Spector Euro LX (UK trade - 4 string only)

Pictures here http://www.flickr.com/photos/21493815@N02/

I'm sorry to be selling this bass. She looks beautiful, is amazing to play and sounds fantastic! She has a great slap tone, stomping rock sound, and an incredible EQ that can create such a variety of sounds for all styles. The only reason I am selling it is because I have played 4 string basses for 18 years and just couldn't get into the five string feel. I will be most probably buy the exact same bass in 4 string when I have the money as it the best bass I've ever played.

The bass is in excellent condition, with just some miniscule marks from picking and some tiny marks on the back. None are big enough to see in pictures.

Price includes a brand new Stagg hard case I bought just for shipping it. Can knock off £50 if without soft case if you pick up).

I will ship with UPS within 48 hours of payment sooner if I can or you can collect for free from Blackheath, London or I could deliver in London or nearby for an agreed price. Can ship worldwide but you would have to pay taxes on your side if they were required.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Ritchie

That's $1,695.00 US $$ and as I think worth it most here would not. Shame really they are so nice. My best offer I got was for $1,150.00 for Blue. : Cry: You can't even get them from Czech Republic with gold hardware anymore and yours even has the newer pickups and electronics. Someone here has already suggested you keep it and re-think your stance on 5 stringers. I think that's a great idea too. The fact that I still have my blue Spector suites me just fine and in a way if someone has an issue paying $1,300 for her then damn it they will never get their greasy hands on her. I’m just suggesting thinking of it as another color in your pallet or tool in the tool box. It is so bad ass looking and they sound so completely different from 4 string Spectors. They are much bigger and deeper sounding. I tune BDADG to keep it from feeling or sounding sloppy the B is tuned standard even though I drop the E to a D. We don’t play in the key of D all the time but when we do and I hit the open D we have to keep plenty of toilet paper around the studio!!! I say sleep on it a while before you give it up unless you need the paper. Just my 2 cents…Besides aren’t you rubber??? You should be able to accommodate the extra length and string better and easier than anyone else. :D

Thanks Thumbslam,

You're right. It'd be great if I got into it. It would broaden my playing but I've decided to spend the time becoming a better 4 player than to go into 5. I'm quite a physical player on stage. I love to jump/dance around. I'm just SO familiar with 4 after 18 years on 4 suddenly with 5 I'm staring at the fretboard all the time. Now I've decided to sell I've put this bass away to keep it in perfect condition. I bought it for £900 direct from Alan but need to add a little for eBay fees and for the price of a new hard case I got so I can ship it. I would accept a little lower. I think it will sell though. For a 5 player it's gorgeous! Buying one new from Spector is about 2k and it takes about 2 months from when you order.

I can`t believe nobody has struck a deal with you yet. Is there anything this bass can`t do?

getting sold seems to be the answer ;)

Im not gonna say 'If only I had the funds I'd snatch it without hesitation', albeit true, I'd not find this the most original reply ;)
