Yes, the 1 & the same, PJ. I am very happy with this transaction! We even spent an hour on the phone. He is a good guy! He would like his Wave in the book too, so there's another to look forward to Not sure what all the knobs & switches do yet. Maybe I'll find the chance this Sat to go through it. (Lord, I hope so ) |

Wow, what a stunner that bass is, congrats Brock- Matt had sent me an email about it but by the time I saw it, you'd already snagged it- which is good news as I'm sure Matt will want to get it into the book. I did send him pics of my lefty Riches a month or so back - so with PJ's stuff he should now have several to choose from! Just curious- have any of you guys ever seen another lefty Gunslinger bass? I surfed around trying to locate even so much as a pic, and was surprised that I couldn't find another one mentioned anywhere... |

"Just curious- have any of you guys ever seen another lefty Gunslinger bass?" I have. I'm pretty sure Tom Tyner had a black or blue? one for sale a few years ago, but I can't remember which color it was. |

Awesome PJMuck & Carmine!!!!! Yes, now we wait - well, I still have another photo shoot to line up. But the spots are reserved. Matti wanted the custom Mock in the book (I have no idea how many feelers he sent out). He has tracked down the original owner & has a great story lined up! I wait for that too. It is good to know that someone in the family may have gotten it if I could have resisted! But, I'm a sucker for Special & Custom Electronic Packages on these things & got worried that the price might go up to - well, more than I could afford. I've always wanted to try a pair of Bill Lawrence humbuckers in a bass. I have 1 bass with it in the bridge position & like it very much! Becky, who still carries the banner proudly, no longer offers the right width..... I have seen a left handed ST III - but, it is a guitar. |

Figured you guys here should get the same thanks that Matti has expressed to all participants: MattiMontreux ยป Sun Feb 01, 2015 7:59 am February 1, 2015 The 'Last Call and Deadline for Submissions' has expired. To everyone that took the time, effort and passion to submit stories, anecdotes, photographs (old and professionally-executed), memorabilia items and more, I thank you. THE VINTAGE B.C. RICH BOOK process is in full swing, pre-production. My editor and I have created a sequential rough draft timeline and we are going through the necessary steps for inclusions and submissions. I have a few more interviews with name players and more that were scheduled weeks ago and are underway (three this week). Because of your help (you know who you are!), THE BOOK will be a beautiful, comprehensive and fact-filled journey of passion.... with the guitars and people that made history. Bravo and Thank You, Matti |

Awesome job, Brock, it would take me months to figure that one out. In fact, one of the hardest parts of acquiring these old BC Riches is determining what was intended vs. what's been modified or working/not working correctly. |

Thanks PJMuck! That's my goal really, in doing these schematics: helping people to see what they have. I don't want to explain what connects / disconnects when flipping a mini switch - knowing how it all is supposed to be connected & then experimenting while playing will take care of that (I hope)! I'm really excited about the new series of schematics I'm doing for these. They are standardized in such a way that once you remove the cover & put your axe beside the drawing it becomes obvious! |

I'm gonna go with MetalMilitia was talking to Pete the whole time: But, I do gotta add a bit of info. My CUSTOM (thanks to all who commented, is indeed spectacular!!) will be going to the original owner once the book is released. The entire story will be in the book!!!! |

Not a lefty sadly, but I wanted to contribute... Here's my BC Warlock from my righty days (about 4 months ago ) This heavy bastard helped me realize I needed to switch shoulders. Scored it for $100, traded it for a mint condition Sega Master System and a stack of games!

I know this is an old thread, but did this book come out? The planets aligned for me and I bought that 1976 Eagle that's been seen for sale for a while. Really excited to get it and play with it. |

Longish time since I posted about getting the 1976, but here it is. It's a wonderful bass, but my 2013 Gibson Thunderbird is still my #1. I've only made two modifications to it, both of which are reversible. Thumb rest at the bridge pickup which uses the stock pickup ring screw holes, and Schaller M4S lightweight tuners which are direct drop-ins and considerably lighter than stock.
