According with Upfront Guitars it seems like G&L is soon going to be offering block inlays for their basses... That was the only thing missing!
From the page: Block Inlays – Rumored to be in the works but not in the latest price book. If you like the look of the big block inlays introduced by Fender in the mid-60’s they are on the way.

Should be by sometime this summer, I was told around "June-ish". There might be another big bass announcement this summer too...

I am pretty sure black binding will be added to the options as well, I'll probably let you guys know as soon as I get the updated list at work.

Curious what the upcharge will be on top of the std price. This will put these over 2k street tho. These really are nice basses. Side by side against a fender.... I'll keep my opinions to myself here in respect of my Fender fellow board members

I just took a quick scroll through G&L's instagram. Nothing yet. I wonder when we'll see the first example of the block inlays.

Hopefully not as ridiculous an upcharge as Lakland does.

Naw, G&L is pretty good on upgrades. Lakland is a hefty uncharge but their pearl blocks were sooo killer.

Official MAP price on Black or Pearl block is $150, which isn't too bad

Wow that's not bad!!
Since I put the order recently, I asked the dealer if they could also add the block inlays to the order...
Fingers crossed! 8-)

Just got an email back from the dealer:
"Actually your guitar left the factory this past week and should be here by Wednesday, so sorry about that. For future reference black or white block inlays are a $150 MAP option."
So, no block inlays for me but I'm happy to get the bass so fast!

If anyone is looking for a G&L bass, contact these guys are great, I highly recommend them.
