I'm surprised this hasn't come out yet...2016 keeps on proving to be a shitty year all around. One of the most amazing musicians of our generation, one along a handful who made me fall with this instrument, just passed away yesterday.

I had the chance to meet him at Beasley's bootcamp a number of years ago - what a generous, open and warm soul. Victor Bailey, RIP bass brother, you will be missed.

And now Leon Russell has passed on as well.... yes, it has been a sad week, and 2016 has, I'm sure, seen more musicians passing on than any other year. But, as we mourn their loss, let's also remember them all for their considerable contributions to the music scene, and humanity....
