Hey All

I was dumb and left my instrument near an open window during a rain storm. The rain bounced off a dirty windowsill and then onto the guitar. The drops dried and lefty little dirt spots everywhere that feel abrasive.

Any ideas on how to clean dried dirt off without scratching the finish much? This is a really nice 1982 G&L S-500 in fantastic condition.

Thanks.

get one of those eye-glasses cloths. preferably moist with guitar polish.
if you apply even pressure to a larger then the stain surface it should be just a question of patience until it all comes out.
*I"m assuming you have a solid finish on it. I once removed a 5x5 inch vinyl sticker off of a g&l legacy this way. sold it the next day with no way to guess that the guitar ever belonged to the guitarist of a band called "keep music evil".
