bbl here. :)

I'm from the Bay Area, playing in a cover band. I play a little guitar, too (if you won't hold that against me).

I used to frequent the Dude Pit (hi Andrew), a little bit of Talkbass. Currently, I hang around Harmony Central Bass Forum.

I'm a proud owner of a Lakland Joe Osborne, a Guild B-302, Sterling fretless, and P-Bass. The Lakland's my main player. Now I'm gassin' for a Bob Glaub! I'm also selling a Pedulla Thunderbass and a G&L L-2000.

(fyi, Andrew, I sold the Ice Queen to a fine gentleman here in the Bay Area).

Welcome bbl. Sounds like a nice collection of basses you have there. Would love to see pix of the Guild B302.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find a pic. It's not as nice as yours, though.

Thanks. LOL. Mine's not really nice at all, but I love these basses. It was poorly routed for some Dimarzio PUPS that I can't wait to swap out for some Darkstars. Mine also appears to be an original B302F (fretless), as the truss rod cover says, "B302F" on it, so it looks like the previous owner may have had it fretted.

I hear mine was used in an all-girl punk band. :D It shows.

I love the all mohagany, set-neck design. Ebony fretboard. Funny you mention fretless; I've often thought about defretting it! It would make a killer fretless!

Hey all. I'm a Canuck from BC. I'm a bit of an anomalous lefty bassist in that I do everything else right handed.... mostly because I have to. The same circumstances that force me to do everything right handed are the ones that mean I need to play Bass lefty.... long story, I'll explain later. Suffice to say, I'm noob new at the bass and I'm sure to have tons of questions.

hi everyone !
gérald, 28, from south of france.
I've started playing bass at 16.
by the past, I've played : Ibanez ATK, Yamaha TRB and Musicman stingray5
today, I play an handmade bass called "rémige". it's the first (and for the moment the only) left-handed
bass, made by the french luthier "larent kah". You can see some pics of my bass here : http://www.basses-lkah.fr/basses.php?no=30
I'm very happy to be among the leftybassist community !

Welcome Gerald.

Wow, that is a beautiful piece of art! Sounds great and your playing is wonderful too.

FYI: Yves Carbonne has just contacted me about possibly purchasing my '77 Jazz. He's another wonderful French bassist.

Hi, I'm John and live in Chicago. I played around in the Chicago rock scene from 1989 to 1998 and then got out of it. I've been thinking of getting a new band together, not rock, which prompted to me to look at getting a new bass or two.

I currently only have two basses, I had a few stolen (nothing too special) in the late 90's:

1994 Washburn AB20 acoustic/electric lefty
1967 Gibson EB2 single pickup red lefty

Welcome and +1 on the pix of the Gibson EB2. I've never seen one. :)

Sorry, been busy for a short bit.... vacation! Woohoo!

Not much I can tell you about my bass yet other than it being an Ibanez 300. It's still on backorder at the shop. Instead I'm borrowing a five-string Ibanez that belongs to a friend of mine. He's right-handed, so he re-strung it leftie for me while I borrow it.

Hey all, another new user. Just picked my bass up for the first time in a couple of years today and remembered this site and thought id check it out again.
Currently playing a lefty MM Stingray 4 string, though i also have.....wait for it.......
.....a 12 year old Encore  , not only is it battered to hell, it sounds like crap
and is easily the heaviest bass ive ever come across, its so heavy that im not entirely
convinced that the body is made of wood, possibly iron/lead ;) .
