Hi fellow lefty brethren,
Just testing the waters but if anyone is interested I can pick up Aurora color coated strings through a friend here in Japan for the equivalent of about $20 per 4 string set & $23 per 5 string set. He has all the various colors depending on 4's or 5's, and gauges 40-100, 45-105 & 50-110, 5's are 45-125. I've already bought my fill of 20 5 string sets & thought to share the remaining wealth before he runs out of stock. I'm not trying to make a buck, just helping him out as he's done a lot for me over the years. For some reason they dont seem to be big sellers over here. Postage would probably run between $5-10 for 1-3 sets but I'll get exact figures if anyone's interested. Playing wise, I find them easy on the fingers, a little bit grabby but not too much, the sound is warm, a little compressed with a still nice high end but definitely not an "in your face" string. Apologies if this should be in the parts section & feel free to move it there. Cheers chaps!
