Yves is an amazing musician and his exploration of extended range bass is very inspirational.

I am not a "more than 4 strings" type of guy but that many strings and such an extended range do make a lot of sense in a "solo" context like this. It does not sound cheesy or like a frustrated guitarist either. What I mean by that is, even a non-bass player or musician might enjoy Yves' music.
