Can we talk Heaven 17?

On Saturday nights, we like to watch old 80s videos on YouTube.
One of my favs is Heaven 17, and I realized that I didn't know who was playing those fabulous bass lines.
So I did some digging, and found very little info.

Turns out, it's a 17-year-old lefty bassist/guitarist who had only been playing a short while. He's also MIA.
Anyway, I thought this was fascinating.

Interview that mentions him:

Wow! it could take a month to transcribe that bass part on Penthouse and Pavement! I like how he just stands there, very non-chalantly, churning out that monster bass line! That's a one-song Master Class in rapid-fire Groovology! Again - Wow!

The fact that he's playing a right handed bass makes me wonder if, when asked to bring in his guitar to lay down the guitar track; was it also a right handed guitar? I would think so....

Wow, that live one is totally awesome. And somehow completely embodies the '80s aesthetic without being cheesy. Impressive :-)

Thanks for sharing!
