Omg! I wish I had the cap space for this! I'm already maxed this season. Gonna be trades only, unless I can move a #2 or 3, which I'm on the fence about.

oh for a spare $3K ….
Might be my eyes, but I can't see abrasions on either instrument. I really dig the 6 stringer, but that volume knob by the bridge pup is a deal-breaker for me, I be constantly banging into it and effing up the volume...

What would be a typical price for the bass? I'm too lazy to look it up :-)

Now that I think about it, that's probably not a huge discount. I paid a little more than that for my 2017 SB-2, but not much, and I had an upcharge for a special top.

But maybe if you're friendly with a dealer, you could call them and ask them if they think there would be a way to get it even cheaper.

Paulo can chime in, but I think that when they built his first bass wrong, they let him hold onto it until they built a replacement to proper spec, and then sold the first one through the dealer for $1,200 or so.
