I don't think those had the 70's pickup config. For me it would be a deal breaker as I love the punchy sound it gives you.

You don't think so but I'm sure it does as I measured several times... consider it a deal again! :)
My 62RI AND my Am Std both measure 2 7/8 between pickups while the 75RI measures 3 3/8.
All 3 JBs measure 3 3/4 from the neck pickup to the neck pocket.
Jeroen is familiar with the models and he may chime in some time.
There where some made with the proper spacing then they where made with the 60's spacing.
I had 2 75RI in the past and they both didn't had the proper spacing but this one does.
I didn't bother listing it here as the previous few JB listed didn't show any interest but if anyone here is interested feel free to contact me!

Fender Japan did make a special batch of 75 Reissues with true 70's spacing. They came after the 60's spacing reissues. I am 100% on this and Paulo has one right there.

Yeah, I bought one from Tony with the wider spacing. I am not sure how much it really affects tone though.

70s spacing is easy to spot - the bridge pickup is aligned with the tone knob, as it is on this one.

Good call! I have never noticed that!

One of my top three bass ones was played on an actual '75 Jazz. This guy has since sold off the entire rig. I wish I had bought the whole thing, haha!
