They are long scale. I have a lefty black one. Bought it new. They sound amazing, but are very noisy. The necks are fairly narrow. Not quite Wyman bass narrow, though. A very lightweight bass, too. Easily worth the $299 paid for it. I rarely use it, but I'm keeping it. |

Good price, usually go $350-450. Looks in very good shape too. The ones from Korea are quite nice. I got a black one from Reverb about 5 years ago. It's become my main gigging axe because it's so light. Sounds great with TI flats and a foam mute. Found a silver sparkle for very cheap that I keep now for backup. The pups are single coil so can be noisy in some settings. On mine I had my tech change the output jack and swap the metal bridge for an aftermarket. The bridge on the shorthorns tends to sag in the middle over time. There is even a very slight bend on the one in the ad. Can compensate by adjusting the saddles but if it gets bad enough, should be replaced. |
