Looks otherwise legit to me but had the nut replaced for some damn reason.

Ahhh, a little research learned me that MM added the compensated nut in 2005/2006. The bass looked pretty new, but I guess not.

Oh yeah, it’s relatively new, not sure what year though. I had several SR4s from the mid/late 90s that didn’t have the compensated version. My SR5, which is a 97, also has the old school nut. I did have a couple in recent years with the compensated nut. Superfluous feature in my opinion but they work just fine 8-)

I believe the compensation nut started around 2008. I ordered a custom 5 string EB bass new in 2008 and that was a new feature on the bass when received. I could be a year off or 2 < or >
