These are so nice, I played one at NAMM for about 20 minutes.
It's a 23-1/2-inch scale.

Yep these are really cool. Played one as well. And no they’re not loud enough to play acoustically with other instruments. ;)

I love those! I have a Taylor Baby which is great fun to play, but I'd love to trade it for a GS Mini guitar and the bass would be awesome to have as well. It's exactly the same size as the guitar version, and crazy cool.

Well, I hate to be the spoiler, but I just don't get it. It's not loud enough to project over acoustic guitars unplugged, so it needs to be plugged in anyway. Every demo I've heard sounds horrible and fret buzzed out; We already have Uke basses in a compact size anyway, so as long as you're required to plug these things in then what do we need this for? If it's all about portability, I'd rather go with a Uke bass, as mentione,d or even better, a Steinberger. Plus, these require special strings and only 1 company makes them AFAIK.

Not feeling the love, sorry.

This thing is fun as a toy, to have it kicking around the house, not to play with others or at a gig.
Fun yes, a lot! But not $700 fun!

I think it is! It's loads of fun, but it's also a very serious instrument with a great amplified tone. Especially for someone whose main instrument isn't bass, I guess. But still, I'd love to have one.

I don't think Taylor makes these in lefty anymore, so the price is pretty good considering:

I own one of these and love it. I put piccolo strings on it and play it, essentially, like a four-string guitar.
Sweetwater got one for me, and it wasn't that long ago.
