Might be worthy of investigation. Need more pics. Wonder if it's as heavy as my '77 boat anchor.

My 71P is very light as well, I believe around 75 they got heavy, my 83 is very light as well. Would be good to know what are the Heavy Weight Fender years?

I also own a '73 P and it's pretty light. (8.2lbs).

Wow, I'm just down the turnpike!

Does that price seem high for a '73?

My 75 p is 9.2 lbs which to me is perfect.
Love the maple ol white combo.
I’ve had lighter ones but I tend to prefer a certain weight
in both touch and tone.

That's my bass's cousin. A '73 with the same yellowing, worn oly white with maple fretboard and tugbar.

Mine's 8.4 lbs.

This one might even have an "A" neck like mine - won't hurt to ask.

Who knows about the price. Vintage Fender prices are crazy and fluid. I paid $2200 for mine 2-3 years ago. I'm just guessing, but that seems a bit high from a private seller on c'list. If it's all original and no issues, I'd feel comfortable paying $2500. But if it really speaks to you, you could pay closer to $2900 and, if the trend continues, sell it for at least that much in a few years.

Regardless, looks like it comes with a free hat and toaster, as pictured.
