I heart mine so hard. I hate the pickups and I haven't found a decent string match yet, but it's still my main player right now simply due to the amazing ergonomics.

I have it's clone but mine doesn't have lines (unlined) but solid ebony fingerboard. The neck is Wenge as so is this one. This is a GREAT price for this bass. You can mod with EMG pups sir Barts and add a different preamp. I haven't touched mine and it sounds great with pedals.
NOTE: These years have very comfortable necks and not baseball bats. The control plate on back might be aftermarket or transition year. Mine got the solid black plastic with etching.

Wow! That one has an Ebony fretboard! Mine is almost identical, but I had to have it de-fretted and so its wenge neck and fretboard. It's my favorite bass and I'm happy with it, but I would have been all over this if I found it 3 months ago. Still might. I'd like to know the year of manufacture. It must be late late 90's or even early 2000's. From what I have seen, the Just-a-nut 1 and wenge era basses didn't usually come with the pop-off control cavity cover. Maybe it was added on custom. I'm no expert. Just haven't seen that. I'm pretty much obsessed with Warwick basses after having tried one. That's all it took.

Tim, I have found that the EMG JAX pickups and GHS Pressurewound strings are a really really great combo in these basses. So much so that I have that combo in my avatar bass, and my one like this. I wasn't much for jazz pups period until I tried the JAX. And the GHS Pressurewound strings just may be the greatest strings ever. They feel like flats and have the zing of rounds while still having hints of the percussive bottom found in regular flats. Becoming my favorite string, de-throning DR Lo Riders. On both my Corvettes, I do not have the MEC preamps, just the EMG JAX with a traditional volume/volume/tone setup and I really like it alot.

That is awesome. I'd get this in a heartbeat if it was in the Netherlands. The ebony board is standard on factory fretless Warwicks, and the early wenge neck is awesome. Unlike the ovangkol baseball bats they used later on, which I still like but not as much as the older ones. Great find!

Might as well keep you guys updated. Heard back from the seller. He or she are kind of short with me. Maybe CL has them a little jaded. Hasn't said for sure he'd ship but hasn't said he won't. Not looking for any trades/part trades (always worth a try). I asked for more detail about the bass and quote "I can give you the full story. It's not a happy one. But if you want to know...". Totally left me in suspense hahaha. Oh boy. I said "yes please" So we'll see but thats never too good lol.
