I love Ric's and this is my favorite! I had one for a few years as a second Ric but had to sell when funds were low.

The S is best in mapleglo. That's an established fact; not debateable. ;)

OK, it's subjective. But imo that high quality, unpainted maple uninterrupted by binding is delicious.

Nice Rick. There's even a bit of birdseye in that body. It would be interesting to see them do something with some wild figured maple.

IMO, Ric's maple wood supply has gone in the toilet over the last 10 years. anything vaguely resembling figured/flamed maple is/was reserved for 381V's and sometimes 360's or 660's. That's not to say the wood they are currently using is sub-par, but it most certainly is plain-Jane looking.

Maybe they are sitting on a stash of figured wood, but I'll be darned if they are.
