I've never seen a L2k Tribute other than with the natural finish but they have one here:

Oh wow. That's a first that I've seen. I paid an extra $400 to have a burst finish put on mine :D

I paid an arm and a leg for my MJ-4. I got every option under the sun that I wanted (even one that is not listed on the website ;) ) and before I knew it, I was over $2200!

The stainless steel frets and white neck binding really hit the wallet hard!

Needless to say, I am not getting my money back on that bass, but that is okay because I don't ever plan to sell it.

Yeah, but how many times are you going to buy a brand-new bass built to order? If often, then you have the funds so you can't really bitch about it. If only once, well you kinda have to live a little :)

Biggest upgrade in my impending SB-2 is a spalted maple top. It's been a month and a half. I reload G&L's Instagram page literally ten times a day.

What Tim said.
I ordered my SB-2 the way I wanted and lately it's not getting played much but every time I pick it up I won't put it away!
No "regerts" on that one! :P

The sunburst and maple combo is new for this year, the natural and rosewood combo is going bye bye

There's a few new Tribute guitar options coming too, a new colour for the ASAT classic lefty (clear orange), a new ASAT Classic Bluesboy in natural, the return of the Legacy in Tobacco burst, and an S-500 in 3 tone sunburst with a maple board.

I'm hoping we see the Doheny in a lefty Tribute as well, I've been bugging for a Fallout Tribute lefty but got a pretty firm no.

I would soooo get one! Preferably hardtail with a maple fingerboard, but if they release one they'd probably stick to a more traditional Jazzmaster approach.

Me too :D

It could go either way, and it all depends on the particular piece of wood. What I think would look best is a piece with a lot of contrast: strong lights and darks without a lot of middle gray/brown-ish shades. But if it's a piece that's more muddled and swirly shades of brown, I don't think the clear blue will flatter it very well. It's kind of risky in that sense. But I'm sure the guys at G&L realize this and will pick the best piece for the finish that they have.

Either way, there will definitely be pictures. Maybe I should hire Paulo to take them since he's right down the road. :)

Damn a Fallout Tribute in lefty would be so cool! I didn't even know that model existed until a few weeks ago when I stumbled on it thumbing through Reverb! One of the coolest looking guitars ever imo.
