Seller is asking for $3000, good price considering how unique it is.

I think The Rickenbacker growl is probably the best possible tone for an 8 string. Then again, I got a schecter 8 string off here for 1/8th the price that sounds more than good enough for my back room. If you’re a pro who actually performs with an 8 string and has three grand though, you should definitely buy this one.

This must be the same one I bid on a couple of years ago when it was on eBay. I bid just because I am such a Rick-head and these are incredibly rare. I bid the minimum $3000, but I didn't win it.

I was honestly a bit relieved I didn't win because $3000 is enough for two trips to Bonaire, and it would have ended up being a show-piece more than something that would see regular playing time that I would have a practical use for, and that isn't my thing. I don't have enough space for what I have now, haha!

I never really "got" what a Rick is capable of until I ran it stereo a few times in my college band. We used to call it the "Piano of Doom". You get all the bottom and all the top in total a**kicking mode.
