I contacted Jens Ritter and he confirmed the info in the auction is legit. It's a beauty but out of my price range.

That's been for sale before. Personally, I don't think it's his best work. It looks "off" to me.

I have concerns about the stability of that neck joint.

It appears that he had room for a tenth neck bolt, but omitted it as a cost-saving measure.

A body only a Mother could love... yes, I love Ritters, but to me, this looks like a caricature of a body builder on steroids; and they haven't been kind to his body.... :(

I'm sure Ritter makes amazing quality instruments, and some of their designs are stunning and original, but honestly I can't think of a single well known bassist who plays one other than Phil Lesh. You'd think that successful/rich musicians would be playing more of them.
