Just to get this all on one page, it's interesting that one is a reverse P/P and the other is normal. Looking at the pick guard, knobs, and bridge, Carmine's looks modified.

The pickup configuration is indeed modified. The original configuration is a reverse P/P, but somewhere along the way a previous owner must have felt very strongly that was a wrong-headed move by Fender :roll: , and decided to set things right by investing in having the pu configuration "un-reversed" and a new pickguard to cover the original bridge pickup routes, as well as wood inserts made for them. (I'd guess the original "F logo" knobs likely went missing during that process). The sad irony is that however correct their "un-reverse logic" may have been, I'm totally nullifying the value of all their effort by playing it strung righty :roll: !

I considered having it restored back to the original arrangement, but I never got around to it. That micro-tunable bridge, however is totally original (and more complex than it needs to be- which is probably why the one in the case has a BadAss substituted).
