These are probably great basses with a few mods. Anybody have one? I am particularly interested in knowing what the neck profile's like. I really don't like the AM Std P bass neck profile/radius and I'm looking for a replacement with a beefier neck.

Not sure you'll like the necks on these. The nut width is 1-1\2" like a Jazz bass neck. If I remember correctly they are a narrow U shape with a 9-1\2" radius, not compound. The heel is slightly wider so the neck may not fit a standard pocket without modifications. A standard neck with need some shimming around the perimeter to fit the body.
I think the earlier models may have been made in Korea, the newer made in China. Don't quote me on that one, but there is a difference in the fit and finish. The earlier models appear a little better, IMHO. The pots are 500k and give it a brighter sound than standard 250k pots. Weight is around 9lbs and is very comfortable with great balance. Well worth the money no matter how you look at it!
