All I can say about this one is that I hope he takes an offer south of $1500. That's asking a lot for a bolt-on Smith, even if it's a lefty. It ain't nowhere near as purdy as pjmuck's.

To my poor eyes, there's a couple of issues with this bass. forgive me if I seem too critical ...
1 ) a stainless steel - or maybe aluminum? - Smith bridge that accepts non-taper cored strings? Makes me think it's not the original bridge. Even tho it does match with the tuners, it looks newer to me compared to the rest of the bass.
2 ) no case
3 ) lots of typical thumb-wear on the neck pup
4 ) no pictures of fretwear
5 ) did I mention it's a bolt-on? LOL

One thing I noticed is the scalloped nut. I have one as well on my KS, which is about a year older than this one.

The seller has made two price drops in the last few days. First to $2555.55, and now to $2444.44. I'll be curious to see what - if at a ll - it finally sells for.

Shoot, I sold a minty fresh BSR-M 5-string on eBay for $1600 about 3 years ago, and I had bought it for $1500. That seller obviously has no idea where the market is. That's a $999.99 bass, maybe.

Although Smith's are really hard to come by used. . . I certainly wish I still had mine.
