Rondo Music is offering their version of the UBass now in lefty models (Hadean Bass). Supposedly just as good for a 1/3 the price. They have them in zebra wood and mahogany. At $149, I might take the plunge:

Considering the Hadean model has a built-in EQ, and tuner, plus being strung with Aquila's, this is a great value. I already own a Kala U-Bass, but have been debating on whether to pick this one up as a spare for awhile now....
