Hey thanks, it is a real blast to play,hopefully I'll play it this week-end with...........James Taylor on the TV show.

My Rob Allen is very dark sounding very much like an upright because of the woods I've choose.
Walnut with a Padduk top. I tried the Maple and it was too fretless (lots of growl) for my needs.

I'm really considering a fretted one eventually,

Ahhhh, thx much for the info, Slybass. Maple would be more in my arsenal of tone then... I love the "in your face" growl.. Cheers
