At least thru Craigslist an interested buyer can put his hands on this mythical bass, unlike bidders on eBay! Anyone here on the forum close to this guy, and wants to check it out?

This guy is back again and even thirstier!
Now he has the auction started at 5k and says the bass was owned by David Amezcua of Awolnation. FTR I've never heard of him.

"Own a piece of Rock history! Played on the Awolnation "Megalithic Symphony" tour supporting the smash single 'Sail' own bass player Dave Amezcua's bass that played all those moments. This is a fundraising opportunity to take care of some personal extended family issues. Privacy on the matter appreciated. The winning bidder can also request to have the bass signed. "

Hmmmmm.... the wear looks like it just might match.

Doesn't mean it's legit for what it's claimed to be, though.

I've never heard of him or Awolnation either, but according to Wikipedia their album went 6x platinum. :shock:

The bass looks consistent with the photos he's posted of the bassist using it in the auction too.

Regardless, it's not convincing me to buy it for that kind of money.

Not the album, just the song. The album only went gold. I don't recognize the song, but I'm old and boring.

Funny... his name is David Amezcua. He now owns/runs a studio in LA.

I currently own this bass that used to be his:

Not sure if that means anything at all (especially in regard to the p-bass in question), but it just shows how small our lefty bass world really is.

Yeah, it's a work of art... It's a Custom Shop '75 Jazz NOS and the neck was completed by master-builder, Dennis Galuszka.
