I was the second whoosh. Always wanted to try one and finally was able to justify the price (and return policy). My expectations are low. I'll let y'all know how it is.

I've got one (edit: not one of these - I've had mine for a few years), expectations were also relatively low. :-) Then I put flatwounds on and I was pleasantly surprised by the meaty, warm, round, wide tone I can get on recordings and live. It's not necessarily a 'tier 1 go to' bass, but for the price I was really surprised by the solid tone I was able to get out of it. And it's fun to play live - really light as you probably know... GLWT Purchase...

 Low expectations, yet two have sold immediately! These must be the Tim Tebow of basses!

I take it you weren't a fan, Matt?

Awkward neck, super low output pickups, and I thought these were short scale. On the upside, it was sparkly.

I whooshed Matt's un-whoosh. Should be in NY next week. Too cheap to pass up a "sparkly" Dano  .
I prefer long scale so I'll see if I like it any better.

Tim, does Guitar Center have an option to be notified by email when lefties come in used? I know ebay and Craigslist do notifications but I can't find anything like that to set up for Guitar Center. Or do you just do your own "lefty" search every day?

I have a bunch of searches bookmarked. For lefty basses, and lately also for tube amps (I have to confess that I'm probably more of a gear head first and bassist second). My job is taxing on my brain, so I go through my bookmarks as a sort of brain break during the day. That, and I'm still looking for good deals on a couple of particular models.

For example: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Bass.g ... ft&Ns=r&N=

I have similar bookmarks for eBay, Reverb, Arni's, Craigslist, and a few others.

Thanks Tim.
With Ebay and Craigs I have set up daily email notification of any new entries that match certain searches. The bookmark method is probably a better way to go if you stay on it. The notification system is easier (i.e. the lazy way) but does seem to miss entries on occasion.
