This is an expired 'bay listing, but it is still available AFAIK. The fellow who owns it lives in the Metro Phoenix area. I've passed on the bass - not having seen it - due to larger G.A.S pains for other projects.

If you can get it for $975.00, that's a decent price. If the older Tone Pump, your better off upgrading the preamp. The older Tone Pump preamp was not very good and had wayyy too much boost. It farted out a lot. The newer ones 2008-current are much better and have adjustable trim pot on the side of the preamp. Sight unseen, take a chance sometimes just ask a LOT of questions.

I've owned one exactly like that for 3 years. The one "undocumented feature" is that the neck usually needs a 1/4 truss rod adjustment turn 2-3 times a year for bowing/unbowing. (Southeastern USA climate). I love that bass anyway.

This appears to be a newer one, or at least less than 10 years old, as it has the newer gold bridge vs. the lame "airbrushed" gold bridge on my '96 Euro.

Also note that Spector has never made a true left bridge for their lefties. They use a righty bridge/saddles and simply swap the G and E saddles. This means that you're using a G saddle for an E string and, depending on what gauge of string you use, your E string may not fit all they way down into the saddle. I contacted Spector about this on mine, and they confirmed that they don't make lefty saddles. Seems ridiculous when they can tool every other aspect of the bass for a lefty.

pjmuck, your mostly correct. I own a few Spector basses and my EURO5 Blue had a righty bridge and current EURO4 LX has a righty blast black bridge with the Spector logo upside down. Also to note, the string guide at the tail of the bass sometimes is hart to fit the B string thru depending on what string brand you use. If you use the tapered strings, you will be fine. Also the newer EURI basses ship without the filed nut (string sits on top of the saddle). I like this because you can cut per string width preference.

My new EURO5 LX (2009) has a brass bridge and seems to be correctly cut for the strings and the saddle bolt that goes thru the entire bridge is on the bottom now, not the top like the righty bridges on a lefty instrument. This is the allen key that locks the saddles after you intonate. See screenshot below of the correct bridge. They got the brass ones correct, but the black ones are still right handed reversed.... for now at least. All in all, if you know how to set it up, it works fine.
