Hey Jeroen,

If you only knew what I had to do to restore this bass... you would respect me. :? Pain in my ass. It's a good bass but I pressed the button from it listed as "Pristine", not fixer upper. It is not prisine but definitely worthy now after all the work I did... I suspect more killer basses will be on the bay soon. People are getting desperate "especially" the stores. There's a nice Roscoe SKB 5 string at Bassalone

Great news for somebody who does manage to have some money right now, but I'm starting to feel a little desperate myself.

I know, I was just kidding
Consider it envy. I would love to own one of those, in a playable condition! 8-)

I know, man. Lots of respect to all on this board.... especially Andrew who started it. If I decide to sell it at a later date, I'll put it up here first but I needed a Jazz bass and after all the work, this one is a good feel.

Some updated news.... to Andrew and bbl..... there are only 6 Joe Osborn basses made in Left Handed as of last week. 4 of them are JO4's and 2 are JO5's. I have the only one that was built with block inlays and binding and was completed June 2007. That answers the Lakland JO story. Not 3 or 4 but 6 total.

Now "WHO" owns the other 3 ??????? :?

I sold my JO to a fella in the UK. Chuck has one. I believe Bass Central has one in stock.

Someone ought to give them a call. In their lefty section, they list one 3TS as sold. In their USA, JO section, they list 2 3ts's, one of which is sold.

Whoa! Only 4 JO4's, and through this site, we know a little something about all of them? I wonder if they're all sunburst/tort.

Thanks for getting that info.

Het tallboybass,

I also see a post for a Darryl Jones 4 or 5. I assume it might be someone else from this board. I don't think they ever made a DJ5 model in left handed... or did they?? Does anyone here have a lefty DJ4? Pics?

Definitely feel your pain. Paid $2,260 for my 55-94 off eBay listing that said "mint"....it wasn't even close! That hurt but it's a great bass now. I'm going to keep it 'til they plant me.

Have you guys thought about what will happen to your prized basses when you're gone? It's not a big deal for righties (or is it?) but I'd like to think someone might be rockin' my Lakie after I'm gone. (sorry for the downer )

Must be time for bed,
Alan

You're absolutely right. The DJ5 is only available as a Korean-made Skyline. There are no lefthanded Skylines whatsoever, only some US-made Laklands.

What?!? You mean you're not going to be buried with all your basses like the rest of us? :D
