Great bass. I also owned one of Steve Chesney's Wal basses. He had like 15 of them at one time then retired and started selling them off slowly.
It was a killer bass with Zebrano Top and a maple neck. They do live up to their name. Killer electronics.

Me too. I bought my '91 Wal fretless from him back when he first started selling them off. Can't remember, but it was around 2002?, I think I paid $1300, which was a lot at the time. I could never spend $4-5k on a bass now. It's my main fretless. Amazing sounds:

Be careful around Wals; My friend has two, and has brought them to me on occasion for minor tweaks. I have nice basses; but after playing his Wals, I can't stand to plug in one of my basses for days.
