CME is known for their high asking prices, but they do entertain reasonable offers.

It's way over-priced for a 78!

I would agree that $2295. is high for a 78 P . It's also a 10 pounder and not in pristine condition. That said I love the look of a black on black with rosewood board P bass. Not that common of a combo for a 70's P. I would make an offer in the $1800. range. I'm pretty sure CME accepts trades so that might be an option for anyone interested.

Even $1800 is a bit high. I would thing $1400 to $1500 tops on it. I had a Black/Black/rosewood 78 P bass that I had gotten from Southpaw Guitars a few years ago and it cost me a little over $1400 with shipping. It is a very nice bass though.

I loved the look of that bass. Anyone here grab it? Mind if I ask how much?
