With case. Not a bad price.

The translucid ones have an ash body. They usually sound quite snappy and brighter than a regular PBass when used without the bridge pickup.

Very Nice, but a bit pricey. It will be interesting to see what it goes for.

I don't think that's a bad price at all. Pretty much right in the zone for what these go for. They are American made after all. I paid about that for mine a year and a bit ago. I definitely wouldn't expect a bidding war though. These should be in the $800-1000 range - IMHO - depending on condition. If it goes much over $950 someone REALLY wanted it.

Yeah I agree. I've seen them go way higher too. I'd like to snag one at some point.

(Warning: Slight thread derail in 3....2.....1....)

I'm actually in the process of a really cool project with my Hot Rod P. My luthier buddy - who some of you will remember from other posts of mine - has just taken all the measurements off of it and is in the process of building a new body. Can you say....FENDERBIRD!! I'm gettin' all Entwistle on this bitch. Gonna be a "non-reverse" style in a candy or flake red, with w/b/w pickguard. All the PU and bridge routs should be exactly in the same place as on the P. Since we are going with fancy solid paint colour we're doing the body in poplar. (Mostly because it was the only body blank he had that was big enough. Ha!)

More on this one in the months to come.....

This is my old bass...

And, unless the buyer did something freaky with the truss rod or something (which I doubt since he seemed really cool), I can assure everyone here that it was a monster in both tone and playability.

The only reason I got rid of it was the color... not a fan.

Other than that, it was fantastic and I miss it.

As far as price goes, I think $850 is more than fair. This bass has a mint hardcase with all the goodies, upgraded electronics with the originals included, and a bonus Hipshot d-tuner.

I saw a white one go for $1400 not too long ago... $850 for a known "good one" is definitely worth it, IMO.

I agree Addison . That's the main reason I posted it. Plus it seemed there were people looking for them on here in the past.
