I was visiting the Guitar Center (used) site today and I found this:

I don't know the story with Westone basses, but have been seeing them from time to time here and elsewhere. Are these generic/low quality instruments or what?

Actually the 80's era Westones are well made, good sounding instruments.
The is a Westone "club" on TB that has alot of info on these basses.

Right on. Thanks. This might be one of those types of basses that I keep my eye out for and snatch if they go for crazy-cheap...just so I can say that I've owned/played one.
