I wonder if that was professionally de-fretted. Can't see from the far away pic of the fingerboard

Toward the bottom of the listing the seller has posted specs supposedly provided by Fender that lead you to believe this is a production fretless.

A few years ago I bought a MIM Jazz like this that someone had started to convert to a fretless and put a number of gouges in in the rosewood trying.
They gave up and I took a chance got it cheap. The neck wasn't usable in it's condition so I didn't have anything to loose. I knocked out the nut and took a belt sander with 40 grit paper an sanded the whole fret board equally as I could until the gouges were gone. The top part of the frets sanded off quickly and I left the rest in. I finished it off by hand block sanding it down to 220 grit. I held my breath put the nut back in and strung it up and tried it out. It played and sounded great no issues. Nice warm tone great action. Maybe I was just lucky. I later bought a fretless 78 Fender P bass and sold it. I almost never play a fretless so I didn't need two.
