something just about as rare as hen's teeth ... a lefty Ritter! You'd think for the kind of $$$ the seller is asking for that better pics could have been taken ,,, just sayin' ...

I noticed that bass too. Apparently it's a "jazz bass" style. Whatever the style, it is, at least to my eye, one of Ritter's less attractive models. Probably a good instrument tho.

Pics are not helping that ad any. I usually love the Ritter body styles, but something about this particular version just doesn't do much for me.

That is IMO only the most expensive horrid ugly bass I have ever seen in my life to date. It might sound like a million bucks but wow it’s painful to look at it. Best thing about it are the fuzzy pics. Sorry I don’t like being negative but only a mother could love that.

Taking this to a good wood worker might help a lot- round-off the point on the bottom, cut off the knobs and re-shape the horns to look more "normal", thin the headstock in some and re-drill the tuner holes, so the strings come straight through the nut, and you might have a nice looking bass...

Is this even really a Ritter? almost nothing about it resembles any other Ritter I can find. Never mind the horrid body shape but the headstock is all wrong, too. The bridge and control layout are the only things that look correct. Is that certificate legit? Does he or did he ever make custom instruments to a buyer's specs?

It looks like the bastard child of a warwick and a carl thompson..

Looks legit to me. Ritter does a lot of custom stuff. As long as you are willing to pay for it...
