I like how this is in almost mint condition and a very unique color.

Very cool looking bass, but I wouldn't pay a premium for that color.

Very cool indeed. I'd like to bid on it but i already had bad experiences soundwise with a 2004, bad tone, the worst sounding rick ever owned. Of course i've heard some other marvellous sounding 2004 as well. Simply i will not buy a rick without trying first anymore.

Looked a lot more "teal" than "turquoise" but maybe I'm picky.

I snoozed and lost on this one. I was preparing to make a seriously close to asking offer when it sold. Boo. I hope one of you fine gentlemen got it.

You are right on with that observation. These are one of the few Ric finishes that changes dramatically depending on the angle and type of lighting used.

Hmmm. This looks a lot like the turq/teal Rick I had around 2005 and sold in 2006. It also was in mint condition and with a silver case with blue interior like the auction. The thick C shaped neck was definitely not for me. Around this time I started going fretless exclusively and sold off all the fretted basses.
