Didn't Thumbslam buy a couple of custom made Warriors and have a good experience in both situations? Or am I confusing his Warriors for some other brand?

Thumbslam had good with one and not so good with other, but it was resolved. I, on the other hand had HORRIBLE experience. Let's just say, hump-de-dump-dump on the fretboard along with NUMEROUS other issues. I lost my ass and will NEVER do business with that luthier again. I should have just ordered my dream bass from Michael Tobias back then but lesson learned. Consistency is everything in the luthier world especially when your name and pride is going into that instrument. If it ain't right, and goes back several times and still ain't right... we have a problem.

Jimmy C. on the other hand.... i'll keep quiet here. Enough was said on talkbass and sure he lost a LOT of customers after that arrogant response to the world of TB.

I bought one of the good ones from Thumbslam, but he was kind enough to let me return it, because it just wasn't for me. I thought the quality was pretty high, although, it really had that hand-made feel to it, not like the perfection your see in Sadowsky or MTD, or Fodera, for example. I thought the woods, fit and finish were really great. My problem was that I thought the neck was way too thin, and the body too small. I'm a bit fussy with ergonomics.

On the Warrior topic I see that there's a 6 string fretless "Keith Horne Signature" model on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warrior-Custom- ... 2ec9c01416

Specially designed to be worn just below the adam's apple. ;) I jest of course.

Isn't the guy who runs Warrior pretty religious? Seems like a strange fellow to not try and help his customers and do the right thing.

Yes... JD is...... Don't let the religion make your decision to purchase one tho. They are hit and miss. Lately been a miss!!! :!: And I have no guilty bone in my body saying this. I could be worse but we already heard enough from the Addison story.

This is for sale in my hometown.

At least the seller is proud to be "kicking it in Italy"

Don't worry — there's no relation or connection to Brett Zeppelin.
