Has a a questionable wear pattern (fake relic). Received more pictures from the store directly, so I am going to pass on it.

More and more I see relic'd instruments with 'forced' wear patterns that I've never seen on instruments that are actually old and played a lot. Even the custom shop relics for thousands of dollars often have patterns I've just never seen on 'real' vintage gear. I often wonder what they use as models?! Folks who play upside down while hanging off the back of a moving car?? Folks who wear not one, but multiple belt buckles at different heights?? Bracelets with razor spikes?? (And I'm sure there's been lots of discussion about this topic here and on other forums, so I don't mean to derail this thread...)

I have 33 year old guitar which has none of that.
some wear on binding but that's understandable considering it's (was) a right angle.
and even there, it doesn't come close to revealing wood.

We should start a post in the photo gallery where we include photos of our instruments that are worn from actual use. That would be fun to see. Perhaps I'll start it once I get this thing called 'work' done with. :)
